Senior Cloud Services Engineer                                 REQ# 5712

Position Overview:
As a key member of the Cloud Service Delivery team, the Senior Cloud Services Engineer will be responsible for building out the infrastructure components for Entrust’s Cloud Service offerings.  This may include all server, storage, network and security components required to support our services or a specific customer deployment. 
This role will work very closely with the Senior Project Manager and Architect for the US Commercial Cloud Services Vertical as well as all Cloud Services Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure the necessary data center infrastructure is in place to securely support all PKI services.

  • Design, build and deploy scalable and resilient VMWare virtualized platforms with Windows and RedHat Enterprise operating systems.
  • Design, build and deploy scalable and resilient NetApp storage platforms.
  • Assist in the deployment and support of networking and security platforms.
  • Participate in collaborative architecture and design processes.
  • Write and review infrastructure design documents, build books and run books.
  • Write and review infrastructure change requests necessary for deployment activities.
  • Monitor the performance and availability of deployed infrastructure.
  • Participate in the resolution of infrastructure related outages.
  • Proactively identify problems and capacity constraints using available tools and monitoring.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of infrastructure components including patch management and end of life planning.  
  • Participate in planning and design discussions around infrastructure support best practices such as:
    • Automation tools
    • Monitoring requirements
    • Backup requirements
    • Secure management of infrastructure

Basic Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years IT experience.
  • 3+ years of high availability, high performance and high security environments and the requisite rigour needed to operate in these environments.
  • 3+ years of experience deploying infrastructure specifically for IT Services.
  • Experience deploying disaster recoverable services.
  • Detailed infrastructure documentation skills and experience.
  • Deployment experience with most of the following technologies:  Cisco UCS servers, NetApp storage, VMWare, Red Hat Linux, Windows, Cisco networking, F5 load balancers, Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint firewalls.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization for US and ability to travel freely to Canada, USA and internationally.
  • Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PKI Infrastructure Experience
  • Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, DevOps, and automation would be an asset
  • Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL
  • Global/International Data Center experience
  • Disaster Recovery planning and design experience
  • Deployment experience with Cisco UCS servers, NetApp storage, Cisco networking, F5 load balancers and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint).
