Position Overview: 
As the Accounts Payable Specialist you play a key financial role in the Treasury Operations organization. You will act as a contact and conductor for outgoing payments for internal employees and our suppliers. This entry level role in Finance is a great place to start your career with our company. Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounts payable cycle from invoice entry to payment
  • Ensure proper coding of invoices prior to entry into Oracle
  • Interface with other departments to ensure quick turnaround time for invoice approval
  • Ensure payments are made timely according to vendor terms
  • Effectively interact with internal and external customers and respond to invoice inquiries
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues
  • Assist with month-end closing
  • Support periodic audits by outside accountants, internal audit and regulatory agencies
  • Analyzes and prepare special reports as directed by Accounts Payable Manager
  • Handle and process corporate card requests and account reconciliations
  • Process employee expense reports timely ensuring expenditures are in accordance with the company travel policy
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Support and/or lead department process improvement projects
 
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, business or related degree
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal)
  • Detail oriented; possess strong organizational and takes pride in meeting deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with internal and external customers and ensure interaction provides a high quality of service
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Able to “own” responsibilities and processes
  • Ability to work in a team environment in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Highly motivated, quick learner and positive attitude 
  • Flexibility around month end working hours, as needed
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Oracle EBS knowledge
  • Basic accounting principles knowledge
