Position Overview: 
Join a talented team of quality engineers improving systems used to print and personalize credit cards, passports, driver’s licenses, national IDs and more.  Work on cross-functional teams creating products that matter. As a member of the Quality Engineering group, the Quality Engineer II will be a key member of, and sometimes lead, project teams responsible for supplier quality improvements, production quality improvements, product development quality improvements, and cost reductions. Our solutions utilize a broad range of printing technologies and use a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and processes, including injection molded plastic, sheet metal, machining, rubber molding, power transmission, DC motors, lasers, and sensors.
Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain                                                                      60%
  • Manage corrective action process using problem-solving skills to eliminate root cause of problems through long-term preventive actions.
  • May apply appropriate statistical tools to support process, material, and product quality standards.
  • May support materials resource development in the development of new products and enhancements to new products.
  • Develop or contribute to development and maintenance of policies, practices and standards.
  • Develop strategic relationships with suppliers to drive long-term improvement in quality and performance.
  • May provide support to production on quality and reliability issues. 
  • May provide support to purchasing in evaluating the technical specifications of materials and parts to ensure quality standards. 
  • May support the evaluation and selection of global best-in-class suppliers.

  • Support and maintain ISO 9001 certification through daily work activities.
  • Continuously pursue corrective and preventative measures on Entrust Datacard products and services.
  • Halt processes that could adversely affect product or service quality.
  • All employees are obligated to be aware of Entrust Datacard’s Quality Objectives and Quality Policy.
Leadership                                                                                                                  10%
  • Lead cross functional teams to resolve customer quality issues and improve processes.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in manufacturing, quality, or product development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues
  • Must have basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering
  • Experience working with suppliers
  • Experience working with mechanical parts
  • CQE certification by ASQ
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Experience working with the following tools: DOE, SPC, FMEA, Gage R&R, ISO standards and regulations
